Židé v Čechách 5 (The Jews in Bohemia)

A compilation of papers from the fifth seminar on the history of the Jews in Bohemia, which was held in Teplice in October 2014 by the Jewish Museum in Prague in association with the Regional Museum in Teplice. As usual, the seminar dealt mainly with recent topics relating to the history of the Jews in the Czech border region. The seminar proceedings pay particular attention to analyzing sources that make it possible to trace the fate of the Jews from the border areas after their annexation by Nazi Germany. On the basis of this research, many archival databases are being created that document the fate of Jews in particular locations from the 1930s to the end of the Second World War. As in previous years, the seminar proceedings include papers that focus on Jewish involvement in the development of trade and business, as well as papers on other regional issues. The focus of the seminar’s evening programme was on the documentation of Jewish monuments. In Czech, 187 pages, black and white illustrations.
