On Wednesday, June 26, the curator of Oded Ezer's exhibition "Sams's Secret" and our chief curator Michaela Sidenberg have prepared a unique guided tour of the exhibition, during which participants will be introduced not only to the world of Franz Kafka and Řehor Samsa, but also to the leading Israeli typographer and artist Oded Ezer. About Ezer, M. Sidenberg expresses himself as a screenwriter who is obsessed with the possibility of giving a concrete face to the idea of Sams' life and work.
"While the magic backdrop of Prague´s dark alleys fed an adolescent fascination with mystery, the story of Gregor Samsa impacted readers on a more intimate level. By turns fantastic and grotesque, it likewise aroused a certain unease in everyone who read it...where did Gregor Samsa come from? Despite the fact that generations of readers have projected onto his pitiable fate that of Kafka himself, his model might have also been Karl Brand...", adds Michaela Sidenberg to the character of Řehor Samsa.
Come with us to the darkened space, in which, among other things, there are book covers, the correct reading of which starts the m (M)etamorphosis...
