Omer calendar
An aid for counting the Omer, i.e., the period of 49 days between the holiday of Passover (Pesah) and the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot). It contains the Hebrew text that is included in this liturgy in this period and occurs as a hand-written manuscript or a bound miniature printed book, a wall plaque (usually decorated), a paper cutout, a scroll wound around wooden rollers (like a Torah scroll*). To facilitate counting, it also occurs in the form of a box with a rewinding mechanism and a little window through which the designation of the particular day of the Omer can be seen.
