Matzah stand
A stand used during the holiday of Pesah in the course of the Seder meal for placing the prescribed amount of matzot. The sides are usually covered by a curtain, the upper surface may contain ornamentation and inscriptions relating to the meal or may be arranged for laying out small bowls with individual symbolic foods. A wheelbarrow-shaped dish is sometimes used for one of these foods, haroset (Heb.), which represents mortar. The stand is usually made of base metal and is silver-plated, although other materials may be used. It is about 30 centimetres in diameter.
