Tu bi-Shevat
A minor holiday on 15 Shevat which celebrates the beginning of spring and is also known as the New Year of the Trees. During this holiday, a festive meal is held at which various kinds of fruit are eaten (e.g., dates and figs). Trees are planted in Israel on this day.
